Thanks, what do you mean by desaturated? They aren’t usually that colorful.

You're welcome.  The entire photo is dull - everything, including the sky and the bird, is grayish.  If you don't want to do post processing, maybe you can try changing the color mode in camera.

What do you shoot with? That's fantastic!

Amazing bird, and photo! If you look on eBird there’s literally no good shots of this species.  No neotropic experience here, but I’ve heard of their secretive reputation. Super well done.

There's only 88 photos on Ebird!

Is it okay if I edit your photo to show you what I mean?

Of course! I don't do any editing. I just crop my photos. I do this in the thing that when i upload them to my computer, it gives you an option to just adjust the lighting( dark or light, but a very simple version), or crop your shots.

I like my photos to look like how I saw it. The sky was gray when I took the photo, though. Ps: maybe that's ot what you mean.

On the left is your photo with only slight changes to the saturation, white balance, contrast, and crop.  Small adjustments can make a big difference.  I must applaud you for asking others to critique your photos.

That is perfectly fine.  If that is what you think you saw and what you like then you can leave it that way.  I admit to editing some of my photos to make them look better than what I saw.

thanks so much. I think I'll try a free editing system soon, and try it out.
