Folks: it's not OK to take other people's photos to edit and re-post. Just like we don't correct each other's spelling and grammar, we don't take it upon ourselves to decide that someone's photo needs correction. In addition, as has been emphasized before, you need to respect copyright.

I wasn't out "birding" today, but saw this White Ibis in a local parking lot.  Not a great iPhone picture, but I feel like contributing something to the community today, and it does qualify as my best photo of the day. The bird had just finished eating some lawn grass.  I hope the area wasn't too heavily fertilized.  

The White Ibises are the most prolific species in the areas I frequent.  A major upgrade to the ugly Rock Pigeons that are all over NYC where I last lived. ?

These are actually from a couple of days ago. I got side tracked and didn't get them posted. Common Ground Dove-we get them in our backyard but they are always on the feeder, the roof of our shed, on the ground or concealed by foliage. So it was nice of one to finally pose openly and in an attractive setting. Love these tiny doves.

Very nice! Those were unfortunately heard onlys on my trip to Florida last spring. A super pretty dove.

usually when I see them they look flat, and they go way as soon as I flip the page ?
