First Winter Blue Grosbeak from a couple days ago.

Not the best pic, but this little bird is the first that I've "rescued". It was trapped under a plastic tarp and couldn't figure out how to get out. Was glad to see it fly a bit and then pose for me on the barbed wire after the fact.

Oh absolutely not for me. I'm lucky enough to have seen a small handful of these in the wild but I don't count captive birds.

Like most other South Florida residents, the Egyptian Geese are non-native. They love the amenities and are here to stay.

I wouldn’t at all say most south Florida resident birds aren’t native.

A lot of Turkey Vultures were just hanging out on the ground of the trail today.  Unusual for me to see them on the ground, unless they are eating carrion.

Not a very birdie day where we went today and what we did see didn't cooperate for photos so this was my best photo of the day. Taken from the passenger side of the car out the drivers side so the door frame is in the way a bit. Still I don't often see Northern Bobwhites. This was one of two.
