I still need to get a good shot of a Lewis's, they're always backlit when I see them. It's too bad to, because they're my favorite woodpecker and none of my photos of them are very good! I did get some better ones recently though.

Always love seeing these in our backyard. Best photo of the day but the day is young and hey a male could show up. No males so far this season but we have had them. Painted Bunting

Yep! we get light earlier than the rest of the country here on the east coast.

We live in the desert where it is not uncommon for two (probably teenage) Cactus Wrens to sit in trees about 50 yards away from each other and yell all morning. "I'm over here in my tree and I can yell louder than you!"  "Well, I'm over here and I can yell louder than you."  You would think they lived in Philadelphia.

Oh! I so would love to see a Cactus Wren! I heard one once, but I never saw it. ?

Well today may not have been the best for photos(raining off and on), but is was the best birding I have had here at my house since last winter. I really enjoyed it, seeing most of the winter birds again was great.

You are most definitely not going to be able to keep that camera, you are going to take too good of photos with it.
