Plus they fluff up fairly often making them even more photogenic. I usually have the best luck with Great Blues & Tricoloreds. This egret was walking the runway!

IKLland
Speaking of snowy egrets, here’s a shot I found from a month ago https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/395809501

Looks to be the same as the pale base of the bill in your photo. Perhaps a feature that went unnoticed before? 2
Clip
Here are my most recent of a Snowy Egret and a Great Blue Heron. @floraphile Great Blue Heron are so tall I always have trouble getting them to fit in the frame. And Tri-colors I don't know what it is about them but photos of them generally don't turn out great either. I had one memorable photo shoot (bird cooperative and close) with one where I got good photos the rest I have just seem to be average at best. The ones a saw the same day as the photos below didn't cooperate at all for photos. I included a couple of the Tri photos from the memorable photo shoot mentioned and one of my average ones.

The snowy egrets let me get very close to them.
IKLland
Here’s my last photo before I leave Allen’s Hummingbird in the rain. This was a very tricky shot, as it was very dark, overcast, and rainy. Lucky I got a sharp shot with such a slow shutter speed. I’m happy that you can see the rain in the background. https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/395914491

lonestranger
Ring-necked Pheasant that dodged traffic before posing nicely for a few dozen shots. Definitely one of the prettiest birds I've ever seen.

There been some discussion among the local birders wondering about this bird as it seems exceptionally unafraid of humans, (doesn't fly off when you're eight feet away from it, and it doesn't seem nervous either) but it seems to be hunting just fine, and doesn't appear to be sick.
