Folks: it's not OK to take other people's photos to edit and re-post. Just like we don't correct each other's spelling and grammar, we don't take it upon ourselves to decide that someone's photo needs correction. In addition, as has been emphasized before, you need to respect copyright.

Just wish I could see one……

There seems to be a mini-invasion going on in the upper Midwest right now. Typically redpolls would be hard to find or non-existent in my area. Who knows, maybe one will wander over to Orange County this winter. Or you can come to Michigan ?

Not too many this time of year, but May migration in the Great Lakes would sure bring a lot!

Yeah. I’m heading to central NY in late July this summer to visit family, hopefully I can do some birding! But, I just wish it would be migration not summer…..

Nice! You should definitely be able to pick up some lifers. Central NY should have some cool summer breeding birds.

I’m hoping for warblers, but there’s not gonna be as many as there would be in migration, right?

Correct, I’d look at the illustrated checklist for the county that your going to be visiting. You might be far enough north for some good ones. In my county we only have HOWA, YEWA, COYE, AMRE, and the occasional Cerulean Warblers and Ovenbirds as breeders.

I still haven’t seen the Hoodeds ? The Ceruleans remained for a few weeks in May, but nobody checked on them during the summer so I don’t know if they actually bred this year.

You'll still be able to find a bunch of warblers in the summer!
