It was crazy! Most I’ve ever seen at one time is about 20. I just kept counting and counting and they didn’t seem to end! And thanks!! He was one of few that let me get relatively close.

Thanks! I posted both because I’m not sure which one I like best, even though I think the quality is better in the black phoebe.

I feel like they’re the easiest sparrow to get a good photo of, I think it’s because they aren’t that skittish. Anyone else feel that way?

 

My personal experience is that they are on the easier side for sparrows, but nowhere near as easy as something like a chickadee.

Odd. The mountain chickadees I saw last summer were very hard to photograph!

I took nearly 400 bird pictures today, but most of them weren't great shots.  I'm gonna go with this American Coot as my best photo of the day.  One of 29 I spotted.
