Share Your Best Photo of the Day

Message added by aveschapinas,

Folks: it's not OK to take other people's photos to edit and re-post. Just like we don't correct each other's spelling and grammar, we don't take it upon ourselves to decide that someone's photo needs correction. In addition, as has been emphasized before, you need to respect copyright.

Finally was able to get one of the two owls I still didn't have for my county. Barred Owl was somewhat of a nemesis of mine as I've tried many times in the county to no avail. However, I was finally able to find one tonight, which makes this my 338th Marin County bird.

Your exif data shows no flash was used. It sure looks like you used flash. How did you photograph it? Just wondering.

I used a flashlight. The bird is going to get shot and killed in a couple a days so we didn't wory as much about using a flashlight for a little to get a few photos.

I imagine this is the pair Alex found (or re-found) recently?

Yeah. We only had one bird the whole time we were there and it never called. We’re thinking one might have been shot already but aren’t certain.

Did he give you gps? Also, you said there were birds shot last year and the other one may have already been shot. Do you know what agency is carrying this out? CDFW or USFWS?
