Folks: it's not OK to take other people's photos to edit and re-post. Just like we don't correct each other's spelling and grammar, we don't take it upon ourselves to decide that someone's photo needs correction. In addition, as has been emphasized before, you need to respect copyright.

Whoah. Beautiful!

Wow, thanks, I really appreciate it! There's usually a big flock of at least 50 individuals that winter at this one park 10 minutes from my home - and often there's an individual or two cooperating for photos.

When you do, can you tell them there’s prime real estate along the Detroit river?  Miss those guys from my trip to Florida.

Will do.  They are all over the place in my county.  It's near impossible to go outside without hearing at least one call.

From my trip to Florida a month ago.  A Great Blue Heron was poised to do some fishing.  An Anhinga either surfaced in the GBH's area or swam thru it.  Suddenly GBH dropped from above onto the Anhinga, with a squawk - for about three seconds there was chaos of wings and beaks as the birds battled - and then the GBH ran away across the swamp with the Anhinga in pursuit for a couple of seconds until he called off the chase.  Apparently, one does not mess with an Anhinga.

Lilac Breasted Roller, South Africa.  It is the national bird of Kenya.  Each of the colors represent one of the different tribes in the country.
