Share Your Best Photo of the Day

Message added by aveschapinas,

Folks: it's not OK to take other people's photos to edit and re-post. Just like we don't correct each other's spelling and grammar, we don't take it upon ourselves to decide that someone's photo needs correction. In addition, as has been emphasized before, you need to respect copyright.

Well, that’s unfortunate. Somebody just dropped some pretty low rates on these..

I don't get it - I gave them 5 stars, and my view shows 5 stars for each.

You gave them fives, thanks!

EBIRD shows the average rating, before a fourth person rated it, it showed the average of three stars, which means that since you gave it a five, somebody else either gave it a four and somebody else gave it something really low for those photos, like a two. The fourth person gave it a five, bumping it back up to a five star average.

Another favorite from my cross country drive.  I saw this Elegant Trogon in Cave Creek Canyon in southeast Arizona on May 3.  Some people had seen a pair near the South Fork trailhead, but I wasn't so lucky.  I only got my picture after 4 miles of hiking.  Then again, it was a great day for hiking, so maybe I was the lucky one!

blackbird F 5

This girl says "Male red-wings get all the attention. I'm beautiful too!!!"

This particular lady was originally on a reed further away, noticed I was taking photos, and literally flew up to this post much closer to me and posed. I told her thank you.

Wow!  The Japanese maple too..

Definitely one of my favourite trees that we have!
Most birds land on it before going into the pond or the feeder. I really should sit and wait by it with my camera more often.
