Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this @Seanbirds? I saw him several times during my 5 days in the Rio Grande Valley. Every time I saw him, I yelled "Yo! Seanbirds!". I saw this Great Egret while I was traversing the length of a section of a canal which is a great birding spot. Can't be certain whether it's the same bird, but lately I've seen a Great Egret in the exact spot every trip. Here in South Florida, the canal systems connect thousands of lakes, both public and residential. Most, if not all bodies of water here all basically one HUGE system, and the environment is welcoming to lots of wildlife, including an abundance of birds and bird species.
