Share Your Best Photo of the Day

Folks: it's not OK to take other people's photos to edit and re-post. Just like we don't correct each other's spelling and grammar, we don't take it upon ourselves to decide that someone's photo needs correction. In addition, as has been emphasized before, you need to respect copyright.

Not sure the context of your reply.  I saw this Great Egret while I was traversing the length of a section of a canal which is a great birding spot.  Can't be certain whether it's the same bird, but lately I've seen a Great Egret in the exact spot every trip.

Here in South Florida, the canal systems connect thousands of lakes, both public and residential.  Most, if not all bodies of water here all basically one HUGE system, and the environment is welcoming to lots of wildlife, including an abundance of birds and bird species.

First, I apologize for not replying earlier.

The blocks in the foreground, and berm and fencing in the background look like the retention ponds in this area.  Egrets are frequently seen hunting in them, and I assumed that's where this one was.  My apologies for any confusion.

I was going to PM you about this for clarification, as you've made the same comment before after I posted a picture from the exact location.  No need to apologize for anything. ?
