ACDsee Photo Studio Professional. Pretty simple to master the basics on it but also capable of more extensive stuff. Relatively inexpensive too, comparable to Photoshop Elements in price.

I prefer the second.  The editing process made the facial area too dark.  I have this problem often with Photoshop Elements, "autofix" process.

Time to give the Pied-billed Greb some love!  I only remember seeing these with dull facial colors, so this is a first for me.

I agree with the above.  If the 1st was brightened just a little it would be perfect. @Birds are cool

Yeah, thanks! Of course I waited like 3 days to put in a ticket with eBird, and then when I do, they show up just fine the following morning. Argh. Oh well, at least they are showing up properly.
