had a pair of mountain chickadees show up today, only the second sighting out here on the prairie in fifty years. They had a black capped tagging along.

The past few day we have this Blue Bird feeding, it is somewhat aggressive and chases away the Finches and Sparrows.  The RedWing Black Birds and Doves are not so intimidated.

That is a Scrub-jay. Depending on where you’re located we can identify it to exact species.

If you back off to about 500mm, the lens actually gets a little sharper.
