Share Your Best Photo of the Day

Message added by aveschapinas,

Folks: it's not OK to take other people's photos to edit and re-post. Just like we don't correct each other's spelling and grammar, we don't take it upon ourselves to decide that someone's photo needs correction. In addition, as has been emphasized before, you need to respect copyright.

What exactly does the noise reduction do? The problem I have is the photos (especially background) are grainy if you go higher.

Noise reduction removes the grain! However, most of them make the photo less sharp. There are too expensive programs out there called Topaz denoise and DXO pure raw that are really good at removing the grain but don’t really degrade image quality. The ones that are built in to photoshop and Lightroom are OK, but don’t go too high, or you risk losing sharpness. I just use the one built into photoshop, and it does a decent job, but I still wish I had the topaz denoise.

What editing program do you use?

I don't really use an editing program...Wish I did. The only thing I really have is google photos or whatever its called but that only half counts. The majority of my photos are barley/unedited. What photo editor would you suggest?
