Share Your Best Photo of the Day

Message added by aveschapinas,

Folks: it's not OK to take other people's photos to edit and re-post. Just like we don't correct each other's spelling and grammar, we don't take it upon ourselves to decide that someone's photo needs correction. In addition, as has been emphasized before, you need to respect copyright.

It’s a low 4 from me…I’m not a big fan of the bird’s pose and the lighting, but the main thing is the shooting angle…it’s way too steep. To avoid this, either back up and zoom all the way in on the lens(by backing up, you create a less-steep shooting angle), or hope that it flies to another perch that’s lower.

This at Brig? If so he did the same thing to me today. Unfortunately I left the house with a dead battery in the camera 😦! I usually check before leaving but forgot this time. That will teach me to always carry a spare.

Nice to see you got the 100-400!

I actually just rented it for Florida to test it out with the 1.4x extender, but I wasn’t too happy with the IQ with the extender. I could use it without the extender, but I feel like I need to have the advantage of the 600mm of the sigma I currently use. I’m not going with the 600 mm f/11 because I don’t like the f/11 in low light, and I like the flexibility of the 150-600mm zoom range, versus a fixed 600mm.
