Share Your Best Photo of the Day

Message added by aveschapinas,

Folks: it's not OK to take other people's photos to edit and re-post. Just like we don't correct each other's spelling and grammar, we don't take it upon ourselves to decide that someone's photo needs correction. In addition, as has been emphasized before, you need to respect copyright.

🤯 NorCal this spring has been insane. SoCal this spring has been horrendous.

Yeah, lots of great birds across the region up here. The Outer Point in particular has delivered in ways I could not imagine. It's been the best spring in recent memory, and the winds were great for weeks on end. The list is so long of amazing vagrants. It's odd SoCal has experienced considerably less vagrants this spring.

And my county especially! We’ve only had 1 AMRE, 1 NOPA, 3 RBGR, 1 BAWW! We’ve had other vagrants but not many with more than one individual. I don’t think we’ve had a CSWA this spring or a TEWA! San Diego county has been decent, but still pretty below average for most species. The rest of SoCal was also way below average. OC’s best bird by FAR was a CMWA, but that was a day and a half wonder.

I have literally seen hundreds of these over the years in Colorado and a handful in Florida and not once have I ever caught even a glimpse of the red on their heads much less gotten a photo. Awesome shot!!!
