@bearcat6, if you don’t mind me asking, what bird species did you photograph in this picture? I just can’t think of such a beautiful bird in the U.S. - is it a cowbird? I believe it's a juvenile Yellow Headed Blackbird. Not Sure

@bearcat6 - Yes, I now agree that it is a juvenile Yellow-headed Blackbird... I never knew how the juvenile of that species looked like. The body looked a little blue, throwing me off. Thanks for clarifying.

Iv'e been after getting a photo of one of these for a long time. This one landed on a tree near me--I happened to have my camera in my hand as I was about to take a photo of a small bird. Immediately, I changed my focus.

Hope it's okay I'm posting a photo from back in May, but I've been going through my photos and I wanted to share this. I saw this in Central Park, NY during spring migration. It's was the first and only time I've ever seen an Evening Grosbeak. It was amazing seeing this beautiful bird. :)
