@IKLland us homeschoolers don’t just sit around all day and do whatever we want.:classic_tongue:  True, we have a lot more free time, but there’s definitely still plenty of the “school” aspect of it involved!

I know. You saying we do have “ a lot more free time”, is what I’m jealous of. ?

Back to the point at hand - this county has a really weird filter. Veery is a red but not Rare, even though there has *never* been a Veery reported in the county, and only a handful in neighboring ones in the last ten years. Same with flammulated owl, etc etc. But our predominant subspecies for the most (or close to most) abundant sparrow goes out on the Rare Bird Alert.

I don't know about everyone else but I have a lot of work to do.

By the way, if anyone would like to come mow the yard they are welcome to do it. There is just a tad over 300 trees you will need to go around.

I was a military brat.  4 public elementary schools, 1 private elementary / jr. high, 2 public high schools.  2 countries (England, US), 4 states (SC, MI, VA, NV, SC again).

Sooooo.....you're admitting to being a brat???? ?

Military brats probably have more in common with home schoolers than with the 'normal' kids who lived in the same town seeing the same friends and enemies for 12 years.  It definitely had some down sides but I wouldn't trade it now.  So many places, so many people, so many sights...

+1 to the homeschooled list.  My brother even married another homeschooler. ?

I go to a public high school with 3,200 students. You can probably guess that the education I receive is a little sub-par.

Wow, that's substantially larger than the college I went to!
