zbird
Every time I see a sandpiper I guess Semipalmated. Northern AK a few weeks ago. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.
DLecy
#5 is a Pectoral Sandpiper. Notice the structure, size, and dense stranding on the breast that contrasts with a clean white belly. And it’s legs aren’t black. The rest look like SESAs from what I can tell when looking on my phone.

zbird
Thanks! Seems like Semipalmated and Pectoral should always be my go-to guesses for northern Alaskan sandpipers.
