Broad-winged Hawks are supposed to be common here in upstate NYS, but hawks are always finicky because they fly so far. I went to this state park in another county where you're supposed to always hear them along the trail, but no luck.

I’m a little further west than you, so they’re more uncommon here. Definitely doable though. I just doubt I’ll be able to get out into their habitat much (at home anyway) this fall.

Almost anything is possible in fall migration: eBird Checklist - 26 Sep 2017 - Keyes (town) - 14 species (+1 other taxa)
