Peromyscus
Today I heard a Hermit Thrush calling in a little patch of trees in a little park, while I was taking a walk close to home. That is not a place I would expect to find that species.

They may very well have been here, but if they were, they were quiet! Like I know we had to have Ruby-crowned Kinglets for a while, because we had them at the banding station in October, but I didn't actually hear them until last week. Quiscalus quiscula
BirdCast has ended, but migration has not! Cool stuff passing through the area. Haven't birded for a while but logging on to eBird for the first time since a month, I was surprised by the good sightings.

PaulK
Not migration per se, but lots of courtship (and, uh, successful courtship) happening with the local Barrow's Goldeneyes yesterday.
chipperatl
Short-eared Owl finally showed up at the spot I’ve been checking for last few weeks. Couldn’t get camera on it though. So still don’t have a pic of one. My previous sighting never was eBird confirmed (flyover), but this one should be confirmed.
