All I can says is that it's a flycatcher and I'm jealous because all I usually is are pewees.

In the field I thought it was a Pewee. But I didn't see it for long and I didn't hear it say anything

Yeah, I was thinking Willow/Alder myself, with that long body, sturdy bill, etc. The eye ring was pushing me towards Alder, but you know what that's worth. Aren't both kind of rare around there?

Thanks. I think you're right, both are fairly rare. Fall migration is when we might get a few. I haven't checked eBird but going by range maps Alder would be more likely.
