Louie
I saw these birds in Davenport, WA today. The flycatcher was perched and slowly pumping its tail before swooping to the ground to catch an insect. I believe it fits for a Gray Flycatcher and hoping someone here can confirm. The other bird I think is a Vesper Sparrow, but just wanted confirmation.
Aidan B
I think Gray Flycatcher fits the Empid pretty well, and the sparrow is a Savannah 1

Connor Cochrane
Why isn’t the sparrow a Vesper? Structurally looks better for one to me.
Hasan
Savannah for me- the front view in particular looks wrong for Vesper, with yellowish tones and a rich, dark brown malar and contrasty head stripes. Plus, I think we'd be able to see white outer rectrices Edited August 26, 2021 by Hasan
