insanityslave Posted August 30, 2021 Share Posted August 30, 2021 seen today in central nc first 3 pics - same 2 birds, both pectoral? 4th pic - from left to right: least, sempalmated, least, pectoral... and probably least (though i dont care about the last one tbh, i just couldnt easily crop it out) rest of the pics are of the same bird - semipalmated? thanks! gpoole Posted August 30, 2021 Share Posted August 30, 2021 I agree that the first two birds are Pectoral Sandpipers, noting the rust-edged,dark centered back feathers and the heavily streaked breast and white belly. They may be juveniles as their medium length slightly de-curved stocky bills don't seem to have an orange base. I'll pass on the peeps.
