Dan P
Taken on 9-1-2021 in the late afternoon at Hahamongna Watershed Park near JPL in La Canada-Flintridge, CA. I have one more bird to ID from my excursion yesterday. The light was from the opposite side. Is this identifiable?

Kevin
Chipping seem like a good guess, though House Sparrow crossed my mind too... 2

Aidan B
I think there is too much of a face pattern showing in the second photo. Also, the sparrow seems to show too much contrast for BRSP, which tend to be very plain. The possibility of a BRSP showing up at that location is very low too. 3
Bird-Boys
CHSP 2
Dan P
Wow, this got a lot of action. Thanks everyone. I did see a Chipping Sparrow in the same area shortly before this one. I thought this one could be a CHSP, but didn't feel like I could see enough to ID it.
