Tim Emmerzaal
Thanks! Figured it was not much special, but wanted a second/third/fourth opinion 🙂
HamRHead
Hmm...I was was leaning Tricolored based on what looks like a wine colored neck, and a white belly.
Peromyscus
My gut reaction in Green Heron. There are currently just 106 accepted records of Tricolored Heron in California. The only San Francisco record was of a 2019 bird that was also in Marin County. https://www.californiabirds.org/queryDatabase.asp?partial=on&species=Tricolored+Heron
Connor Cochrane
It's definitely a Great Blue. It's structurally perfect, and you can make out the dark crown and a dark leading edge to the wing.
