Going tomorrow. Hope it's still there 🤞. Sounds like it was moving around the neighborhood quite a bit today. Heard there's a Gray Kingbird in Cape May now too.

Good luck! I hope you see all the birds you set out to see! I'm pondering going to look for the Limpkin and the Sage Thrasher, but I probably won't.

Teach me...my master.  🦹‍♂️

Confused says, some lessons cannot be taught, other lessons cannot be learned. I think luck falls into both categories.

Mottled Owl at Santa Margarita Ranch in Starr County, Texas. https://ebird.org/checklist/S154949126. This is the same place that had/has the Bare-throated Tiger Heron. Also reported in recent days from the ranch is a Limpkin (they are everywhere it seems (except California)).

eta: Potentially the second USA record of Mottled Owl!!

Tempting, 4 hour ride though.

Good luck if you go! For me it would be about 3 hours. I've seen the species in Arizona and maybe California. It's been 10 or 20 years though.

eta: No Sunday visitation ...
