Maybe the first for the state

Apparently it is now on Cape Cod

And a Maine birder wants it to fly to Maine

(if you can't view the tweet, there's a photograph from this afternoon (I think) of it in Massachusetts, and a map showing Maine, Cape Cod, and Long Island.)

It's currently not in eBird.

There are 4 Eastern Wood-Pewees in Southern California right now. Insane for a state review species. Would be nice for some to move north 😀

Would be nice for one of them to stay until tomorrow. 😭😕

Crested Caracara in northernmost Virginia, west of Lovettsville and not terribly far from Brunswick, MD, and Harpers Ferry, WV. It's about a 75 minute drive from my house but hasn't been re-found so I haven't looked for it. Plus the heat index is supposed to get up to and/or beyond 105 degrees in the greater greater Washington DC area *again* today.
