Wings are really droopy in all the photos. Yeah, too bad. Maine weather hasn't gone great for some rare birds that end up here, like the Black-Hawk.
meghann
Today: Eastern Phoebe in Island County, WASHINGTON https://ebird.org/checklist/S98516744 That was the only new one. The rest was discussion about previous birds. The Gray Kingbirds of ME and NY are still continuing, as well as the Elaenia species in Illinois, that is being highly cooperative by all accounts. I'd love to go, but it would be a two hour round trip for my parents to drop me off at your house, and then again to pick me up, and I hate to ask that. It would only be an hour and a half round trip ? If you could spend the night at your sister's, I could take you back there, and maybe she could take you home and have a visit ? I'm pretty flexible, if you figure out a way.

Liam told me it was probably for the best that I didn't stop, since it's a long stakeout and we were in the middle of a 22 hour road trip. My kids would have rioted if we made it longer, since they had already put up with two birding detours on the way home.

If you saw how clean my room is you'd be amazed. But I am afraid I can't come, I have too long a yard list and too many rare birds for the county to have to start over, somewhere else. 3
