I going to try, I'm trying to get my day sorted out, plus I got my wisdom teeth out today so I hope I feel good enough. It would take a lot for me to feel bad enough not to chase a Ross's Gull.
Aidan B
That's pretty close to @DLecy too, plus that's @AlexHenry home county. Edited December 15, 2021 by Aidan B
Connor Cochrane
No one refound it today after it was seen flying off by the person who found it. Hopefully it’s refound tomorrow. I’m really busy with finals right now and I might not be able to look until Sunday.

That’s what happened with a Snowy Owl reported in a neighboring county (to my home county) a few weeks ago. It left before anyone else could chase it. I thought that would happen so I didn’t even bother trying.
DLecy
As Connor said, it wasn't refound this evening. It will be interesting to see what happens, as the Bay is a large place and it could really be anywhere. The whole Bay Area birding community sure hopes it shows back up in the area for many days. I would love for it to roll up in Marin, but honestly would chase it this weekend if it sticks wherever it is. Unfortunately, can't get out before Saturday due to work.
Aidan B
I won't be able to chase it tomorrow, though Thursday and Friday might work. I'll definently be able to on Saturday if it shows back up. Edited December 15, 2021 by Aidan B
AlexHenry
That’s my patch. I work that patch so hard and often, I feel like I got robbed. If I didn’t have work today I might’ve found that bird 1

Just like me now. But, not as rare as a Ross’s Gull. Somebody found a Solitary sandpiper at my parch yesterday, I would’ve found it if I’d been in CA, I’m in Florida right now. If it’s still there when I get back, I’ll for sure chase it as the place is VERY close to my house! here it is https://ebird.org/hotspot/L4398256

I'm heading to SoCal for a few days of birding Sunday morning, and might look for it if I have the time among everywhere else I'll be birding. I really want to see a SOSA that's not 800 feet away!

The one time someone is gonna be in my area I’m away. I’ll be in Florida until Wednesday. Good luck! Let me know if it was an easy chase.

The area I bird includes some of the surrounding neighborhoods, but the solitary is at the first pond, the one with the “ Waterfall” coming. It’s my patch as it’s very close to my house, but bird done if the surrounding neighborhoods and trails too. You can get some good birds. I’ve had Surf scorers there, 7 or 8 miles inland.
