sixfros
My American warbler game is not the best. Can you help me ID this one, seen at Fort Moultrie, Sullivans Island, SC on Oct. 21, 2021. Also, if you can tell me what clues you're basing your ID on, I can learn. Thanks!
Kevin
Palm Warbler. Warblers are pretty easy if you have a good pic of it's under tail.
neilpa
Palm Warbler (although wait for a second opinion because my warbler game is weak as well)
The Bird Nuts
Yes, Palm. Mostly brown with yellow undertail coverts, pale yellowish supercilium (eyebrow), white eye arcs, indistinct wingbars, and dark lateral throat stripes. The tail pumping behavior is also a big clue in the field.
Peromyscus
Definitely Palm, as outlined above
sixfros
Thanks, everyone--very helpful comments! I saw several Palms on the ground, so this totally makes sense.
