Last night I had a weird dream about seeing some sort of AMRExVEFL hybrid(I know right, weird…) perched on top of a pine tree. I reached for my phone camera to document it only to discover I didn’t have my phone. I ran back to my house to get the phone, and then my alarm woke me up… weird dream.

How do you come up with a AMRxVEFL hybrid? That's just weird.

Reading through this thread made me remember a dream I had last night that somebody I was with saw a Steller’s Sea Eagle on the Columbia River, but I was convinced it was just a Bald Eagle. There were also huge flocks of Dunlin and dowitchers. We were birding at a viewpoint and we kept getting asked to move by annoying hipster families in beige knit sweaters that wanted their photos taken. Then one of the hipster family’s photographers started taking pictures of us birders because she thought we looked funny.

I keep dreaming about trying to identify weird-looking ducks that might be hybrids....in bad lighting....

Are you sure it's only a dream?  One day you'll have the nightmare of trying to identify weird-looking ducks that might be hybrids...in bad lighting...but you'll be awake!!!! :classic_laugh:

I had a dream last night where there was a bunch of lifer Warblers in a tree close to a window in a house. There was a Kirtland’s Warbler, a weird Redstart thing(with a throat pouch!), and a ton more that I wasn’t able to identify before I woke up. There was also a Golden-crowned Kinglet or two. Alas it twas just a dream…

Around evening (in my dream, that is), I was in my driveway when I saw a silhouette of a large woodpecker (you know where this is going) and it flew to my backyard tree. It was a male IBWO, and I ran to get my camera but it flew away by the time I got back outside. I saw it again at night, (got a very bad unidentifiable photo) but my dream ended with me being stung by a bee. Here is some field notes:

I just had a dream that I was sitting on the side of the road in front of my neighbor's house (🤨) getting ready to draw and a Golden Eagle, Sharpie, and two Red-shouldered Hawks flew over pretty much at the same time.  Then my dad, neighbors, and a few strangers joined me.  They talked about how the raptors were so plentiful that day then started using my art supplies. 🤣  Dreams are weird....
