Had a Ruby-crowned Kinglet SIT STILL on a branch flashing his crest at me this morning, 8 feet away, unobstructed. Except for the heavy downpour that fogged up my lens.

The fogged up lens is a fairly frequent problem here in Florida. even if it isn't actually raining the humidity can still be high enough to fog my lens.

This happens to me a lot. I look at the back of the camera, think I nailed a great shot, I get home and upload it, and realize it’s just soft, or out of focus.

This is what happened to me. I thought I had it in focus. Apparently not. I was using a converter with probably cause it. I was using manual focus too. I've learned by now just don't even try using the converter it isn't worth it. I was thinking it would be a perfect shot with the crab.☹️

Converters really only work well with the big expensive 500mm and 600mm f/4 lenses. Even my sigma 150-600mm f/6.3 doesn’t work well with one.

hmmm yeah I figured it out. I do wonder if the 1.4x would work better then the 2x I have

It would be better, but the autofocus wouldn’t work as well, if not at all, and the shots still won’t be as sharp.
