Just a Red-tailed, Right?

RTHA, but please don't ask me which sub.

Yeah, I shouldn't use "just", but the is the first white headed Hawk I have ever seen. So when I was taking the photos my mind went to rough-legged, thus when I saw my pics on the computer, it was "just" a Red-tailed.

According to eBird, Krider's is most common in winter in the lower Mississippi Valley but can certainly occur in East Texas.

Incidentally, the Raptor ID people on Facebook, who I'm always mentioning, say light-morph Harlan's can look a lot like Krider's.

Yes, exactly, which is why I asked for a shot of the tail. This bird is not identifiable to subspecies, though I'm personally not really buying it as a Krider's.
