Robert Nelson
I'm guessing from the "belly band", but I've never seen any hawk with this much white. Hwy. 62, Northeast Arkansas, next to open pasture. IvoryBillHope
Definite Red-tailed, and certainly a pale one. Might be a Krider's, but I'm not sure how to confirm that subspecies.
Creeker
Any other pics? Even poor ones that show a head profile or the legs.
Jerry Friedman
Or the tail or upper parts. Krider's morph should have a lot of white on the tail (replacing the pale brown in immatures and most or all of the rufous in adults) and a lot of white mottling on the upper side, from what I see at BNA and from what I recall from the Facebook Raptor ID group. Robert Nelson
Don't have one of the legs, but here is more of a profile .... https://flic.kr/p/2cfX72f
Creeker
I know it's a little bit out of range, but it does resemble the light juvenile Ferruginous in my Sibley.
Robert Nelson
I took a lot of the shadows out of this shot. It shows part of a dark wing and white on the end of the tail underside .... https://flic.kr/p/QcBvrd
Jerry Friedman
This looks very much like an Eastern Red-tail juvenile that was recently posted on Facebook Raptor ID. The head has a similar amount of white. Also, in my inexpert opinion, the belly band is in the right place for a Red-tail, and the gape is right for a Red-tail, reaching the middle of the pupil--a Ferruge's gape would go past the pupil. Creeker
Yah, and I can buy all that. I just thought it was similar to a Ferruginous light morph. And it looks so different than our western birds. Plus I did note that it was a bit out of range for Ferruginous. Just thought it was worth mentioning.
