belliott
Today in southwestern Missouri. Is this oddly proportioned bird a Brown Thrasher with its head pulled way in and its tail badly worn? Merlin thinks it is a Sage Thrasher but that would be way out of range, and the bill isn't right. blackburnian
Sage Thrasher. Should be reported immediately.
blackburnian
According to eBird, this is the first record of Sage Thrasher in Missouri since 1966.

Kadynn_H
Was this found at a public park? I have a friend from SW MO who is interested in chasing this if possible. Any details or an ebird report would be awesome! Congrats btw!

J B
Nice find! I might have to make the 1.5 hour drive to WAH-KON-TAH tomorrow. 😀 I second the details / ebird report!
