Now, you all are familiar with the term "photobombing," correct? Now, what about "audiobombing?" I was TRYING to get a recording of the Brown Creeper sing when SOMEbody had to fly overhead and STEAL THE SHOW!!! Pesky little...incoherent mumbling

Came here to post this video I tried to get of some Anna's singing at each other but instead got someone in a car celebrating the life of DMX. I did really appreciate the timing on the end though. Audiobombing indeed. https://www.instagram.com/p/CNgFaJdjNUA/

After dinner I took a glass of red wine onto the upper deck and watched a storm front move in from the north.  The Black-chinned hummingbirds were in a feeding frenzy with as many as four birds at a time sipping from the nectar feeder.  One tried to steal a sip of my wine!

From an email list I'm on giving activity ideas for small children. I know what's meant here, but, well

Well then, if there's roughly 40 species of birds, I don't need to look any farther than my own backyard to see them all. And here I thought that you had to travel the world to see many of the birds in the world. I'm glad I found that out before I wasted money on any birding trips. ?

Was this supposed to go in “share your best photo of the day”?

Nope. I thought it was funny watching this Osprey all puffed up to dry off. I’d never seen one do that before. Guess it didn’t translate as well to the pic as I thought

Now that you mention it, you’re right, it does look kinda funny! :classic_laugh:

Ever play spot the difference games? How would you do with these three American Robin photos?

Robin1.thumb.jpg.bd7863b36e7f5645510f85c0075e79b5.jpg

Robin3.thumb.jpg.84524b42ed4fa3fff1f2eba94697fe67.jpg

Robin2.thumb.jpg.b0e661c9bf916acdb080a0bcb82517d9.jpg

Now let me explain how I noticed the differences. First off, I was just sitting out on the front deck with the camera on the tripod, and bored enough to point the camera at almost anything that moved without expecting anything more than relieving some boredom. Well, if you've ever taken bursts of 4 or 5 photos, you know how boring viewing multiple images that are ALMOST identical can be. So I am going through my boring repeat photos of the same boring birds in ALMOST the same positions and I noticed a subtle difference between two photos so I went back and forth between them and chuckled to myself when I went one photo further. I went back and forth between the three images a few times changing the pace slightly and chuckled enough that I had to put them together in an animated GIF. If you couldn't spot the differences between the three photos above, you'll get an idea of how I spotted the differences by watching this gif, which is just three images in a varied sequence.

Disclaimer: This is intended to show how boring photos don't have to be boring. I probably would have made a similar gif if the Robin had turned it's head back and forth, but that wouldn't haven't been anywhere near as funny. :classic_laugh:

Did you Spot the differences?
