lonestranger
Well that's weird, @PaulK, I can see the photo in your screen capture quoted post, but I can't see the photo in the original post. I also just noticed that I couldn't see two of the three photos you recently posted in the ID forum, although others can obviously see them since they've been ID'd. Refreshing my browser didn't do anything on my end so I I'm not sure what's going on. ? Edited June 2, 2021 by lonestranger

I think I know what the cause of the problem is here, but I don't know if it has a solution on your end. @Aveschapines, in my recent posts some of the pictures were uploaded from file, and others were copy/pasted into the posts. When the image is copy/pasted into the post it doesn't appear in the uploaded media down below the message in the compose view, and @lonestrangerisn't able to see the images, while being able to see the images that I uploaded. Is there a solution to this other than me not copy/pasting into the message?

I'm not sure; and I can't see any of the images but my Internet has been absolutely horrible the past few days (makes it hard to get any work done!!!) So it's hard for me to even evaluate right now. Does anyone else have any ideas? I don't have any special knowledge or experience in this area.

I could see the photo shortly after it was posted but coming back to the thread I can't see it in the original post now, but I can see it in the quoted post! Weird things going on!!! A common issue that I have seen before is when the original file is moved and/or edited. As an example, if a photo is hosted on flickr, ebird, google, etc., and edited or moved on the host site, it can break any previously posted links to the photo. I'm not saying that's what has happened here, but there is definitely a break in the link somewhere.

Kevin
One morning I went out birding and it was pretty dark and overcast, but blue sky was on the way, but It was coming at a snails pace. So I was going very slow wanting the sun to come out (it would have been right behind me) hoping to get some good photo opportunities. I finally got to where I was going to turn around about 1.5 miles from my starting point, and you'll never guess what happened. The sun came out!!! Any way I looked right at the sun the whole way back! (The other road at the end top of the photo was where I turned around.) 5
