Fake Heron? - following up on the "fake owl" thread in the main forum.

Spotted this character today - at first glance I thought Green Heron!!, at this time of year?

Absolutely motionless for about a minute, so then thought it is probably a piece of driftwood.

Fooled again.

Saw five or six muskrats enjoying the sunny weather but this was the only one doing a Heron impersonation.

Not sure what you mean by that. The Chickadee's quizzical look is comical.

Ah! I thought you did not mean to not post that photo in "LOL" thread.

What is the point?

In my area, common woodpeckers are flickers and ladder-backed. Red-naped can be seen rarely. Spotting this "woodpecker" through my scope from FAR away I had a few seconds of... Wow a downy or hairy woodpecker, so rare!  Then I noticed it was only swaying in the breeze and realized it was just a decoration.  😛

BUFFs at dinner.  US Air force jargon refers to the B-52 and the crews that man them as Big Ugly Fat F****rs.

"Hey up, Chuck!  This chow hall sucks.  The tables and the portions are way to small for us BUFFs!"
