Miss Marge
This gull may be too far away to ID but could it be a Glaucous-winged Gull? Taken in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada in December.
DLecy
Probably not. It's pretty dark brown overall and the bill is doesn't appear uniformly black/dark. More likely a Western or Western x Glaucous-winged Gull hybrid, but this photo doesn't really give us enough information to ID it to species.
Hasan
Pure western is not that common up there. Presumably Olympic Edited January 14 by Hasan
IKLland
I agree with Olympic, but I can’t rule out pure western. Definitely not a pure GWGU.

In review, I agree with Hasan. It's almost assuredly a GWGU x WEGU. However, if I were birding and this was my only look, I'd call it Larus sp.
