Melierax
Please post IDs in the Help me identify a bird section, but this bird is an Egyptian Plover. EDIT: Also welcome to Whatbird! Edited July 8, 2018 by Melierax
lew laurie
Thank you for your help. There are so many different birds and my unskilled eye just can not seem to find the correct names.

Spend some time over lunch just browsing through it. You'll notice that birds with similar shapes are grouped together. Then when you see a bird like your plover, you'll have a rough idea what type of bird it is and where in the guide to look for it. And don't worry about being unskilled. Everybody was unskilled at some point (and some of us still are!). The idea is to have fun, not stress out.
