Colorado Birder
Hi all Colorado has been hosting a rare Slaty-backed Gull last week or so in Weld and Larimer counties. This lake (Kyger Open Space) was one of its favorite hangouts. The bird in question is swimming on the water. Thanks Gary, Nunn, CO In this photo looks like a Lesser on the beach. chipperatl
I think Slaty-backed the white tips on the primaries would be larger.
Colorado Birder
Local gull expert states "LBBG due to clean white head, extra large gonys spot and not enough white in scapular and tertial crescents." Darn, no lifer! Still present in my county seen today again. Still looking for it ... Thanks Gary
