cccougar
Spotted this bird among many other types- and gators too- in coastal South Carolina’s ACE Basin on Sunday. Seeing if I am correct that these are Greater Yellow Legs. Thank you.

Charlie Spencer
I think Lesser. The bill doesn't look long enough for Greater. I expect Greater to have a bill noticeably more than twice the length of the head. It also appears straight, with no trace of upcurve. ACE Basin rocks. cccougar
Here is another image of the bird in question with a pair of Blue-winged Teal. Thank you Charlie for your responses. I thought this one was a bit larger then the Lesser Yellow Legs. Other comments? Edited April 5, 2022 by cccougar
Aidan B
Are there more than one bird in these photos? If there are, I'd say 1. Greater Yellowlegs 2. Lesser Yellowlegs 3. Greater Yellowlegs

Respectfully, are you sure that's the same bird as the first one? This one has a bill that's dark along most of the length, more yellowish at the base. The first has a slightly yellow bill tip and gets darker toward the base. This one also has a more noticeable nostril. Greater Yellowlegs That makes since, I was just sure the second photo was a Lesser, but I was also pretty sure the first was a greater, but when I read they were the same bird, I decided I didn't know what I was talking about.
