Charlie Spencer
Spur of the moment run to the Charleson, SC suburb next week. We haven't been that way since ... I don't know when but it was long before I began seriously birding. Anyone have recommendations? Patriots' Point, Pitt Street Bridge Park, and Ft. Moultrie look promising. We'll hit Boone Hall and Ft. Sumter, although those will be 'Incidentals'. @cccougar? Edited April 11, 2022 by Charlie Spencer

Charlie Spencer
Did you take my previous comment seriously? You should know better than that by now!

Well, I knew it was supposed to be humorous, but I took it seriously anyway. You should know I'm just a relatively serious person.
cccougar
All the places in MP you mention can be good birding spots Charlie. The park that goes under the Ravenel Bridge can be a great spot for sunsets and maybe some birds and boats. Has a pier also.

I'll check it before my Darling Bride is awake. I'd rather walk under the Rav than drive over it! Thanks! Of course, that's sometimes true, but my father, who grew up in Germany and whose family has lived there for hundreds of years, has not lost the ability to joke. Your right, Germans do have sence of humor, but it different than what some of us see as a joke. Any way we have totally drifted off the original topic.... Charlie Spencer
Good little trip with Darling (non-birding) Bride. No lifers but nine first-of-year. We haven't been in the Charleston area in around 15 years. Mt. Pleasant was unrecognizable, and the exhibits at Patriots' Point have dramatically improved. I'll add photos over the weekend. https://ebird.org/tripreport/49241
