Red-winged or Tricolored blackbird from coastal CA?

Hi,

I'm not very familiar with Tricolored blackbirds, so I wanted your help. I came across this bird which appeared to have a "white" band below the red shoulder patch (vs "yellow" band of red-winged blackbird). However, tricolored blackbirds are flagged as rare at this specific coastal location. Also the bill appears to be typical red-winged sized.

I agree with Alex, this is a nominate group Red-winged. It's pretty late for a nominate race bird to be along the coast for most of California. The only places they breed are from the Humbolt area north as well as some birds that linger in the LA area.
