Trip report: https://ebird.org/tripreport/68406

I just got back from visiting family in Port Jefferson, New York, along with a boat trip to Newport, Rhode Island. The weather was decent, but there were quite a few hot and humid days. Our flight back was canceled, so we had to return home a day later than intended.

Lists are not finalized because I still have a lot of photos to look at again. It'll be awhile before I add photos because I'm still way behind.

5 new lifers:

  • Great Shearwater (with photo)
  • Cory's Shearwater (with photo)
  • Roseate Tern (with audio, maybe with photo)
  • Prairie Warbler (with photo)
  • Baltimore Oriole (with audio)

8 additional FOYs:

  • Black-capped Chickadee
  • Wilson's Storm-Petrel
  • Common Tern
  • Common Eider
  • Piping Plover
  • Purple Matin
  • Yellow-crowned Night-Heron
  • Semipalmated Sandpiper

I actually didn't have many great pictures on this trip. While I submitted a lot of checklists, many of those were glancing up at the sky while doing other stuff. My birding outings were fairly limited and weren't terribly fruitful photographically.
