floraphile
06 Feb 2022 Puntarenas CR; edge of rice fields My concern with IDing as Wilson's Snipe is the wing edge is light, not dark. Edited August 24, 2022 by floraphile
Seanbirds
I think the "light wing edge" is a trick of the lighting. The sun is shining through the feathers.
Clip
I agree this is definitely a Wilson's Snipe. The pattern on the back of the Wilson's Snipe is pretty unique plus the bit of red in the tail. Bill length is also good for Wilson's Snipe.
