Vireo & Mystery bird - central NY 9/10/22

Wondering if this could be a Philadelphia Vireo, and no idea on the other bird.

I can't say why but the second bird give me European Starling vibes.

How big was the bird in the last photo? It looks to me like a Blackburnian Warbler. If you look at the birds face it seems to have orange streaking. The only thing throwing me off is the wings.

I'd say Philadelphia Vireo and Blackburnian Warbler

Thanks all, not sure on the 2nd bird's size, I was thinking blackbird size, but could have been smaller (did see several Blackburnian Warblers in the area). I would think the white wing tips would be a good indicator, unless it was due to leucism?

No idea why, but my first thought for the second bird was yellow-rumped warbler. My second thought was black and white warbler with lighting artifacts.

My third thought was that I probably should have looked at the photos on the computer screen before posting from my phone and embarrassing myself.

Is that still possible?  I left that behind long ago, at least when bodily functions aren't involved.

Oh yeah, it's still possible. Like bodily functions, mis-IDs come with varying  degrees of embarrassment. Guessing the wrong ID while viewing dark photos on a cell phone might be comparable to a quite burp turning into a loud belch kind of embarrassment, something that's quickly forgotten, other mis-IDs can be real stinkers that linger with you for a long time. ?

2 doesn't seem right for European Starling, streaking pattern seems kind of off for Blackburnian. My embarrassing first reaction was Yellow-throated Warbler, which I know only has a few nests upstate, so not that either. Personally, I'd leave it as Passerine sp.
