TJ2
Just recently read about the Eastern Meadowlark species split - This photo was taken in May 2012 in Buenos Aires NWR
Charlie Spencer
https://www.aba.org/aos-supplement-redux-2022/ "Compared to nearby Eastern Meadowlarks, Chihuahuan Meadowlark has more extensive white in the tail, is paler overall, and is more golden yellow below. Its song is like Eastern’s but averages lower in pitch and may differ in having the highest note more consistently at the beginning of the song (rather than just before the end in Eastern). Chihuahuan’s song has been rendered as tortilla con chile." I can't find updated range maps; maybe someone else can.
